Here is our little fish taking one of his first few jumps off the side of the pool! When he is done, he says (very loud and PROUD), "I 'DA BOSS!!!" Yep, that pretty much sums up our household (and both sets of Grandparents' households as well lol!)

Watermelon Wednesday!
I absolutely love this picture! Thats why it takes center stage on the blog this summer :) This was Connor's first big chunk of melon, rind and all! Oh, and the upsidedown sunglasses? Well, that's just how he prefers them! We love you, sweet boy!

Memorial Weekend 2011!
Justin had to leave on Memorial Day for one of his many week long training sessions in Nashville, TN, so we just soaked up the weekend together and enjoyed every minute!
Our neighbors were out of town for the weekend and asked us to keep an eye on the pool ;) How kind are they to let us have free reign?! It was really Connor's first consistent pool weekend. We went a couple times last year, but nothing much. So the first day, here he is.....he made SURE we were holding on to him in the pool at ALL times!
He sure is goofy! We brought some Buzz Lightyear floaties, but they were super cheap and didn't work at ALL, so we tried out his life jacket.....which was kind of a flop....it's a flotation device....not a swimming floatie.
He was having a ball trying to "drink" out of the fountain lol!
He loves his cool shades :)
So after the life jacket flop, we headed to Walmart to pick out some floaties and this green star! The second day at the pool he was comfortable in the star with the floaties. He had a ball tooling around the pool! This is one of my favorite shots of the summer!
Sunday evening, the Hossley's came over for some ribs! As SOON as the boys came over, they all stripped down to their undies and played in Connor's blow-up pool! They had a blast. Here they are eating some sherbert after dinner :)
Sugar rush!
These three together will keep your hands full, no doubt!
Justin with his son and his Godson :) He loves these boys!
Monday afternoon, after Justin left, Connor and I headed back to the pool. I went to walk him in the pool, and after he hit the first step, he swam off on his own with only his floaties. It was a bitter sweet moment :) I was hurt that he didn't "need" me, but at the same time, so proud of how far he had come in just two days!
Our little fish :)
Monday evening, Connor and I were scheduled to go to my parents, but their AC wasn't working so great, so they brought the party to our house! Connor got to spend time with Granddad, Nana, Uncle Drew, Melissa, and Great Grandmother! He was showing off his guitar skills as he played along with the John Mayer DVD that was playing on the TV.
Here he is making his "John Mayer face" LOL! (John Mayer makes many odd faces while playing his guitar...Connor was merely mimicking him lol!)
Connor had his first rib...boy oh boy was Granddad proud :) He didn't eat much of it....he took one bite and started "galloping" his rib across the table as if it was Bullseye (the horse from Toy Story). I just love his developing imagination!
RIB FACE!
Here he is again making his "John Mayer face".....with a little added barbecue sauce lol! He is going to be the class clown, I just know it! He was cracking everyone up!
We had a memorable weekend with friends and family and I'm thankful to have my blog family to share it with :) Thanks for stopping by, and we hope you had a nice Memorial Weekend as well!
XOXO

Carnival Time!
First of all, I would like to apologize to those followers who log in each Monday morning to see if I have posted (you know who you are, and I thank you for following my blog!) :) Justin has been going out of town during the week and taking the laptop with him, so I haven't had my resource for blogging! But I figured I could get one or two posts in before he leaves again tomorrow. ;)
A couple weekends ago, we took Connor to the Christ The King annual carnival! This year was much more fun than last because he was able to participate in a couple of the games. We went with the Hossley's, so of course he had a ball with his best buddies! Here are some pictures of our carnival adventures!
I highly doubt this is sanitary......but hey, boys really aren't that sanitary anyway :)
Connor, Benton, and Baylor....small, medium, and large :)
Benton and Connor were really into laying out on the pavement
The Hossley boys played a little put-put!
And Baylor got a HOLE-IN-ONE! Way to go, buddy!!
The Scarlet boys played a little basketball! Connor wasn't having annnnny fun at all...can't ya just tell by that look on his sweet face? ;)
Connor also did a little bowling with Mommy, but I think that picture ended up on a cell phone somewhere. Oh, and the paddle game where you bang the paddle on the table to win prizes.....yeah what little boy WOULDN'T love that?! The more noise the better!
When we were leaving the carnival, we found Justin buying, not one, but TWO funnel cakes! We took one back to the Hossley's where the boys played a little more into the late late hours of the night (and ate the other one on the way to the car lol!). A good time was definitely had by all! Looking forward to next year!

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Allison
Last weekend, Justin's best friend of 16 years, Jeff, married Lacy in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Stinchcomb Mansion in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Justin had the honor and pleasure of being Jeff's Best Man. We had a wonderful weekend of celebrating with the happy couple and their friends and family.
Justin and Jeff at the Rehearsal Dinner at the Stinchcomb Mansion. After the Rehearsal, we had some delicious brisket prepared by the Bride's father!
Justin and I stayed at the Aloft hotel. Here we were waiting on the back patio for the rest of the crew to show up so that we could go out for a bit.
Jeff and Lacy wanted to keep it very traditional, so they didn't see eachother the night before the wedding. I had the pleasure of going out with the boys before the big day! We had a VIP loft at Ivey that came fully equipped with our own bouncer (lol!), private dance floor (Thank God lol!), and a HUGE bottle of champagne! Aside from the dance music inside, there was an acoustic artist on the Rooftop! It was extremely relaxing up there. :) We had a ball and kept the party going until 2am....I am getting too old for that lol! :)
Me and MY Best man :)
And of course a photo with the beautiful Bride.
Lacy makes Jeff so very happy, and for that, Justin and I are extremely grateful. We wish them a long and beautiful life together......and we are ready for some Allison babies!!!! ;) Haha! Love y'all!
Superhero Day at Chick-fil-a!
A couple weeks ago, Chick-fil-a hosted one of their many themed days for the kiddos: SUPERHERO DAY! Connor LOVES Spiderman, so I thought this would be a fun Saturday afternoon activity!~ After our big neighborhood garage sale, we loaded up and headed out! They had all kinds of Superhero's out there: Spiderman, Wolverine, Hulk, Mr. Incredible...just to name a few. When we got there, Connor wasn't sure what to think about this life-sized Spiderman....he wanted to follow him around, and he kept yelling, "SPIDERMAN!!!!", but when it came time to let Spiderman hold CJ for a picture.....well, that wasn't happening.....at first.......
Spiderman was sweet enough to sit down to try to get on Connor's level, but as you can see, he still isn't too sure what to think at this point.....
Lol, I love this picture...."Daddy holdjoo!!"
After Daddy and Connor posed for a pic with Spiderman, we went in, had some lunch and a free banana pudding milkshake (oh MAN, if I were pregnant, I would use that as an excuse to eat one of those EVERYDAY!....They were just about 2oz, so I ate mine, part of Justin's, and part of Connor's....And no, I didn't take ice-cream from my baby, he just didn't want it...I didn't want it to go to waste!) After lunch, we came back out and chased Spiderman around for a bit, and FINALLY, Justin just handed Connor to Spiderman and all in the world was right :) He showed CJ how to shoot webs, and I was able to snap a couple of pics! YAY!
On our way back to the car, my BIG boy (aka, my husband), wanted to stop and check out the new Police Tahoes. Here are the two loves of my life posing with the Sheriff's K-9 unit.
After we left Superhero day, we went straight to Reed Stinson's FIRST Birthday party, where we met up with Richard and Benton. There was a big Nemo bounce-around, and the boys wore themselves out! Such a fun day had by all! :)

Connor's THIRD Easter
Yes, I STILL can't believe it's his 3rd Easter! I remember being overly exhausted, but over joyed that I was taking our little 3 week old to my parents house for his first Holiday :)
Here we are in 2009......
And 2010......
And here he is checking out his Easter goodies from the Easter Bunny in 2011 :)
My oh MY how time flies! We went to our church service on Saturday night, and spent Sunday morning hunting Easter eggs and looking for the basket that the Easter Bunny left for Connor. We had plans on Saturday afternoon to attend a neighborhood Easter egg hunt, but the rain washed us out. He have had day after day after day of rain! I am ready for some consistent sun! Sunday evening, we had our annual Easter dinner at Nana and Granddads with the family. A really bad storm rolled in right before we were to leave, so we waited it out before heading home. On our way home, we saw some seriously flooded roads. I was glad when we all arrived home safe and sound :)
Here are a few pictures from our Easter weekend!
Heading to church Saturday night in his super cute tie (just like Papaw wears to work....Connor says he's wearing his "tie Papaw"). We tried to keep him with us during the service, but before the service even started, he was just too busy to sit with us, so we took him to the nursery. It was his second time to church, and his second time to the nursery, he did FANTASTIC!
Sunday morning was a bit soggy, so the Easter Bunny hid the eggs in the living room!
My little sports ball Easter egg hoarder....I believe he has the soccer ball, basketball, and baseball all in his hands. If you read the previous post, you will notice that we do NOT have a football egg ;)
He quickly found his Easter bucket! Looks like the Easter Bunny was good to him!
I was so happy that the Easter Bunny knew he needed a Cars thermos! Somehow he always knows....
This little man had a great Easter weekend, and so did his Mommy and Daddy!
Looking forward to the weather clearning up so that we can get out and enjoy what's left of SPRiNg!
Thanks for stopping by to see what we have been up to! :)
