Connor's New Trick!

When we returned home from Vegas we spent the whole day with Connor, and we found out that he learned how to wave (to himself) while we were gone! I noticed him doing it without any prompt, but then I waved to him, and he waved right back....well, sort of :) Here's a short clip of his new trick! I love it!

Live, LAUGH, Love :)

This laugh is contagious...lol! I crack up everytime I watch this little clip :) Enjoy!

Happy Halloween!!

Connor had a pretty good first Halloween! Connor visited his Nana and Granddad, his Great-Grandmother, and his Gramma and Papaw. His sweet little monkey costume didn't fit in his car seat, so we had to put his costume on at each stop. By the 3rd stop, he was a little cranky...but I would have been too. Plus, it was his dinner time, and when it comes to being hungry, Connor is JUST like his momma.....when we are hungry, don't mess with us! Lol :) We were home by 5:30, fed Connor his dinner, gave him some chocolate (yes, I gave my baby some Halloween chocolate. Justin filmed it, but the whole video is of me fishing pieces of chocolate our of Connor's mouth....I THOUGHT he would just gum the Hershey's bar, but nooooo, he kept biting off little pieces. I didn't want him to choke!!), and got ready for the trick-or-treaters! I just LOVE to see the little ones in their costumes!! I asked Justin to install a storm door JUST so I could see the little goblins walk up....I LOVE Halloween! Here are a few pictures from Connor's adventures as a little Monkey Man :)

Friday before Halloween, we stopped by to see Granddad at his office! Connor was sporting his fancy pumpkin suit! As you can see, Granddad and Connor are both happy boys! Granddad loves surprise visits!

And the latest on the house....sold ours, bought a new one, close November 30th! Happy Packing to us! LOL! :) This is all going so smoothly. Thank you ALL for your prayers :) We love you!

Breaking news in the Scarlet household! No, I'm not pregnant again! Lol!

Our sweet little 3BR/ 2BA home, the first one we bought together, the place where we brought our first baby home, the house we made into our home, sold today.

Last Sunday, we visited an open house in the same neighborhood where our favorite neighbors, The Hossley's, bought a house just a few weeks ago. We have casually looked for a while now, but because I am SO picky, nothing has been the perfect fit for our family....and for good reason :) As soon as I walked into the open house, I knew it was perfect. It was the same feeling I had about the house we live in now. So Monday, we listed our house with our friend, Ashley, had an offer on Wednesday (which was TERRIBLE, I might add....it basically equated to what we paid for the house....lol.....hellooooooooo, I don't THINK so!), had an AWESOME offer on Thursday, and signed the papers to place our house under contract today. Our home officially sold after just a mere 5 days on the market. If you want my realtor's info, let me know! ;)

Now, about the "perfect" house.....it's a relocation deal for the family who currently lives there. They would not take an offer contingent on our house selling, so before we could make an offer, our house had to be under contract. So TECHNICALLY, we sold our home without a place to live...lol! Yikes!! However, we did place a bid on the "perfect" house today. We will know something hopefully by Monday. It's going to be a looooooong weekend.

Please keep us in our prayers as we go through this journey for the first time. We are praying for a smooth transition from home to home for all home buyers and sellers involved.

SO many emotions! I've been happy, sad, anxious, scared, nervous, excited...you name it, I've felt it in the last week! But in my heart, I feel that this is the right move for us. I will keep you all posted of the progress around this totally insane time in our lives! :)

Connor's 6 (and a half) month stats

We went to Connor's 6 month appointment on Monday. He is such a big, healthy boy! He weighs 18 lbs 14 oz, and is 27 1/2 inches long. Dr. Jon said he is right on target for weight, and he is "taller" than 3 out of 4 boys his age!
He got 3 shots this time, and it seemed to be a little harder on me this time. I am usually a trooper when it comes to his shots because I know that getting the vaccine beats the alternative! But because Connor is a little older, it seems as if he "knows" he's getting a shot now. Ok, like at his two month appointment, he was already screaming his head off when the nurse came in to give him his shot, so it didn't bother me at all! And at his 4 month visit, he was a little cranky before getting the shots, so it was no big deal. But THIS TIME, Connor was having a ball playing with the table paper, smacking it, trying to eat it, ripping it off, he was rolling every where and laughing at everything. When they had us hold him down, and then stuck him, he made the saddest face ever....it broke my heart...BUT, I didn't cry, so yay for mom! I am still considering myself a trooper. The real trooper, though, is Connor. He didn't cry long after getting his shots, and was fine for the rest of the night.
Happy and Healthy! That's our boy! :)

Fun Fall Photo Shoot

Here are Connor's 6 month pics, taken by my sweet friend, Adrienne. She owns Sweet Life Photography and does a fantastic job! Click HERE to see her blog! We had a little trouble gettin Connor to smile because he was SO interested in everything else going on around him! He especially loved touching the pumpkins. I think this kiddo is gonna love fall JUST as much as his mommy does! :) Thank you, Adrienne, for a fantastic fall photo shoot!
